Take Care

Washing

• Machine Wash (for cotton or cotton-blend poplin):

  • Turn the dress inside out.
  • Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water to prevent shrinkage and fading.
  • Use a mild detergent, preferably one that is gentle on fabrics.

• Hand Wash (for delicate fabrics or embellishments):

  • Fill a basin with cold water and add a mild detergent.
  • Gently agitate the fabric and soak for 10-15 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly and avoid wringing the fabric to prevent stretching.

Drying

• Air Dry: Lay flat or hang to dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight to avoid fading.
• Tumble Dry (if allowed): Use the lowest heat setting, but air drying is always preferable for poplin.

Ironing

• Poplin tends to wrinkle, so ironing may be necessary:
  • Use a warm iron (or follow the care label instructions for heat level).
  • Iron while the dress is slightly damp for best results.
  • If needed, use steam to help release stubborn wrinkles.

Storage

• Hang the dress on a sturdy hanger to prevent wrinkles or creases.
• Avoid overcrowding in the closet to maintain the shape.
