What to Wear to a Western Wedding: Guest Outfit Guide

Publicado por Everest Ranch en

A western or ranch wedding is one of the most fun dress codes out there — elevated, but with cowboy character. Here’s how to nail it as a guest.

Start with a dress (or dressy separates)

A flowy midi or maxi dress in a soft print or solid is the easy win. Prairie and boho silhouettes feel right at home. For a daytime or rustic venue, dressy separates work too.

Boots, of course

Clean, dressier cowgirl boots — a snip toe reads especially polished — are perfect. Save the scuffed everyday pair for the ranch.

Add a hat (optional, daytime)

For an outdoor daytime ceremony, a felt or fine straw hat looks elegant and shades you. Remove it for indoor receptions.

Jewelry that elevates

Delicate turquoise or sterling silver jewelry finishes the look without competing with the couple. Keep it tasteful — one statement piece, not five.

Guest etiquette

  • Avoid white, ivory, or anything that reads bridal.
  • Check the invite for a stated dress code or color palette.
  • Wear comfortable, broken-in boots — there will be dancing.
